About Nancy
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Nancy Gonzalez Torns was raised in New York City with a love of all art forms. She discovered her interest for contemporary art through the inspirational teaching of Kate Ashton at Art on 30th.
Nancy’s collection of often described ethereal works hangs in local San Diego shops and design centers and in private homes throughout San Diego, La Jolla, Napa Valley, Provincetown and Chicago. Her works are a combination of art and various genres of music including classical, jazz and rock…the pieces influenced by the musical works she listens to while painting. Nancy is represented by the Kate Ashton Gallery.
Prior to devoting herself full time to her artistic interest, Nancy worked as a Development Associate for The Salk Institute of Biological Studies and as Director of Development for The Gillispie School in La Jolla.
